Zoey Ross- ♥ I couldn't believe that I was actually here! This new place that I have heard of in all my days living with Mother. But without her here with me and Father being elsewhere, I was now alone and this was finally the test to see if I was capable to survive on my own. With a huff and a sharp tug, I managed to get my bag through the doorway and into the little coffee shop. I have to say, this place was cute! The smell was what hit me first, the overwhelming smell of warm coffee and fresh ground coffee beans. I hate to say this, but I wasn't a fan of coffee. I usually liked water, milk, and whatever other drink there was out there besides soda and coffee. As I shuffled towards an empty booth, I pushed my bags under the table before standing up and yawning. A stretch of my arms and I felt the muscles scream in objection. I winced as I quickly put my arms down, one hand snaked towards my pocket as I pulled out whatever was inside. With an open palm, I looked at my loot. Not much but seven dollars and twelve cents. With a glance to the menu, I scanned for something that wasn't too expensive, yet was good for me. My eyes rested on 'Tea' and I immediately smiled.
Shuffling silently up to the desk with my over sized sweatshirt that I tugged on quickly the next day of where I woke up. I didn't want to think about where I had slept the previous day... But nonetheless, my mind wasn't going to forget, but now it seemed to have forgotten. I looked up at the person maintaining the cash register, Uhm... Excuse me? I would like some Iced Tea please. I said in a quiet voice that seemed to have betrayed me for my current state. The person looked at me and nodded, punching in some keys on the register before announcing the price. I handed him half of what I held in my hands and got some change back before he turned to make my drink. I quietly and quickly went back to my booth and sat down. After waiting for a few minutes, he had brought me my drink and I thanked him. He nodded and went back to take more orders. I stared at the cup before pressing my lips on the straw and taking a long sip. I let out a sigh. Oh how sweet tea tasted cold. I could feel my face mutate into a smile before I continued to drink.

It felt good to feel the concrete pounding away beneath him as he ran. Small and wiry he weaved in and out of parking lots and between alleyways and streets, the sights and sounds of downtown Ravmorte blended into the sound of his feet on the ground. It was always in his morning routine to run, but with the weather not behaving the past few days he had not been able to run. Shifting into a cheetah meant the desire to run was always there, like a racehorse. Sometimes he’d run shifted, but today he decided that he actually wanted to stop somewhere to drink before he went back. The weather was beautiful, low 70’s and sunny. Coming to a stop just outside the doors of a Starbucks he looked up and smiled what a perfect place to end a perfect run.
Stretching he felt the muscles pull along his back and thighs, Tory could tell he was already out of shape after those few days off.
Shrugging off the pain he slid into the store, welcomed by the warm scent of ground coffee and the sound of coffee beans grinding. There weren’t many people in the store, just the people working behind the counter and a black haired girl ordering her a drink. When she walked away with her drink he looked at her hands in a confused manner, Tory had no idea Starbucks sold iced tea. Realizing it was his turn he glanced up at the menu, Uh, I’ll just take a grande espresso. Paying for his drink he accepted the coffee with a smile, tipped the cashier and made a b-line for the odd girl with the iced tea. A friendly person, he had not seen her in town before, and figured it was the nice thing to do to greet someone and question as to why they bought iced tea at a coffee shop, You know, I had no idea Starbucks sold iced tea, but I suppose you learn something new every day. The name’s Tory Renshaw, and considering I haven’t seen you around and the fact that you’re drinking iced tea from Starbucks, I assume you’re new? He offered her a kind smile, hoping he wouldn’t have to go home so soon.

Zoey Ross- ♥ I didn't even notice the man that was next to me as I was into deep thought and pleasure of the Iced Tea drink. I jumped and wiggled a bit before looking up. Wow, he introduced him self all to quickly that everything he said just flew out the back door. I just stayed silent before noticing that I was being rude by staring. Ah! H-Hello. I'm Zoey Ross, and I didn't know they sold Tea either. I guess I wanted something that wasn't... Coffee. And yes, I'm new here. I indicated to the bags that were under the table in a lazy manner. I looked back up and gave him one of my smiles. He seemed like a nice boy, and he must have been out running, the musty smell struck my heightened sense of smell. Out for a jog? I asked before realizing what I had just said, hopefully he didn't mind.
I adverted my eyes to my cup and took another drink before looking back up. If you want to seat yourself, you're welcome to. I offered as I brushed a lock of hair away from my face.
