She drove her motorcycle down an old dirt rode until she came to an abandoned church. She took off her helmet and cocked her head looking over the old crumpled church. There were old stained glass windows that glimered slightly in the warm sunlight of the afternoon. She pushed open the old huge wooden doors with a slight struggle, but finally they creaked open just enough for her to slip through. Inside, there were about ten pews on each side of the church, leaving room for people to walk in between them. Her leather boots made a deep thumping sound agianst the stone floor. She stopped in front of the table that held two candles and an old leather bible. It was worn around the edges, and inside the pages were yellow with age. It was written in a bueatiful calligraphy and a blue-ish ink. She sat down leaning against the raised stage that the table was standing on. The stone was cold agianst her hands. She gave out a deep, relaxing sigh and closed her eyes thinking about what she was going to do next. Where she was going to stay, where she was going to hide if they find her again, and where she was going to go next. She didn't like moving around so much, but it was necessary. She shrugged off her swords and ran her fingers over the burnt pattern of roses and thorned stems on the leather straps.

Trevor hated the situation that he was currently in. It was odd that his parents elected to turn him into a shifter in the first place. Now, evidently, they regretted their choice. Thus, Trevor had run away from home and come to this place. Truthfully, Trevor was not bitter toward his parents, and he doubted that they were bitter toward him. It was just that the Lewis parents and Trevor could not understand each other for the life of them. While Trevor had the support of his older sister, Cindy, it wasn't even to make the 17 year old want to stick around. The boy was nearing 18 as it was, so he would hopefully be able to make it on his own.
The teen was currently wandering around an abandoned church in his shifter form, a dalmatian. He quite enjoyed his shifter form - People expected dalmatians to be full of energy, but not so much 17 year old boys. Trevor could burn off some of his excess energy in dog form without having people ask questions. Granted, he could also go for jogs around the block, but he wasn't acquainted with the town well enough to do that just yet. He figured people were less likely to mess with him in dog form.
Trevor rounded a corner just in time to see a young woman, probably a few years older than his sister Cindy, slipping into the church. His curiosity piqued, the dalmatian squeezed through the entrance behind her. Was she just exploring too, or did she have another reason to be there?

She hadn't noticed the dalmation standing by the door staring at her. She gave a slight wave pretty sure it was a shifter. She sighed wanting to shift herself, but knew she couldn't. Last time she shifted she almost got caught again. She hated running, but most of all she hated not being able to fight back. "Hey. What's your name?" she asked the dog. She never really was that social but she could try. "I'm Scarlet." A slight breeze crept through the slightly opened doors, bringing a bunch of scents of trees and a couple other animals. She resisted the urged to want to shift again and started fidling with her hair to keep her occupied.

If dogs could try, Trevor would have sighed as soon as the woman before him asked what his name was. He was sure he'd been figured out. Really, he imagined it wasn't that hard to do. Dogs were social creatures, yes, but how often did one directly follow a human that they didn't know into a church. Trevor could have easily played dumb and kept up his role as a dog, of course, but he opted against that and instead shifted back into his human form. In the place of the dalmatian stood a short 17 year old boy (who even he had to admit looked more like 14 or 15 due to his short stature...he kept praying for a growth spurt that he hoped would come before he turned 18).
"Trevor. Nice to meet you." He grinned slightly. "Was I really that obvious, ma'am?" He was half joking. It was usually pretty easy to tell the shifters from the real animals in town, unless the shifters were good actors. It was especially easy to tell when one was a shifter themselves.
[We'll, uh, just say he shifted with his clothes on, so as to avoid any awkward moments. >.> I don't know if that was ever addressed on here. XD ]

Ma'am? I can't seriously look that old. she thought to her self and gave a little laugh. She does look old for her age but she just only turned eighteen a month ago. She sighed silently to herself. "Scarlet's fine. And its easy to tell if someone is in their shifting form from their scent. Well if your a shifter its easy." she couldn't get past the ma'am thing and laughed out loud again. She stood up to meet eye to eye, sort of, with trevor. "So what brings you over here?" she wanted to shift and sprint out of the church and run for miles without stopping. She wasn't very social from the whole running for her life thing. She dropped her shoulders and sighed. "I'm not social at all, so don't be offended if I'm really quite." she siad and dropped back down on the floor next to her jacket.

Trevor had complete misjudged the woman before him's age, but it wasn't entirely her fault for looking older than she was either. Trevor looked young for his age, and therefore even those that were his age could be mistaken for being older than they were due to his short stature. By all means, at only a year younger than her he should have a few inches on her, but nope, that wasn't the case.
Though Trevor was on the run as well, he wasn't on the run from anything in particular. He was looking for a new life was all, with people who could accept him for what he was. His sister had never been a problem, and Trevor felt guilty for leaving her, but he couldn't put up with his parents any more.
"First thing I came across." Trevor shrugged. He was quite open, perhaps even a bit naive. As the woman sat down, Trevor had to admit that it was nice not having to look up at someone for once, but soon his social graces returned and he realized that it was rude to be standing while someone else was sitting. Trevor took a seat as well, and shrugged at his company's apology. "It's alright. I'll probably do enough talking for the both of us...my sister always tell me I never shut up and it drives her nuts." Trevor sighed, missing Cindy, but there wasn't much he could do about it. He wasn't going back, not now.

She laughed. She hated how why she was but on the run you usually don't make friends. "So what are you on the run from? Or who?" she asked. She draped her jacket over her swords not really wanting him to see them, even though he probably already did. People see a weapon and automatically think she's dangerous. She hates people like that. All of a sudden her vision started going blury; she rubbed her eyes and blinked. It didn't work. It's getting worse. she thought. She hadn't shifted in a long time and was really taking a toll on her.

While Trevor was indeed quite open about his situation, he also wanted to make sure that he responded in the right way. "I guess...my old life, in a way." Trevor shrugged, not exactly knowing how to explain it. It wasn't as though there was any great injustice that he was trying to escape. His parents weren't abusive, or terrible parents, they just...couldn't connect with Trevor. And Trevor, being quite social, wanted to go out in the world and make meaningful connections that he was missing at home (with the exception of his older sister Cindy, of course, who he'd always been very close to).
The young man's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as the woman before him rubbed her eyes. "You alright?" He asked. Obviously not completely, but as it would be rude to ask outright what was wrong, he figured that would just have to do.

She blinked hard one last time and leaned back against the raised stage. 'Yeah I'm fine, just dust."she looked over at him and smiled lightly hoping to convince him. She thought about the last time she was actually home, and with her dad. But before all the bloody memories came back, she shut them out and focused on something else. "That sucks, I'm sorry," she kind of got what he meant but she didn't want to pry or anything. She let out a sigh. She had nothing to say and was probably boring him to sleep. "I'm runnning from the 'mafia'. Whatever you call them." she sighed again. She hated her life right now, she hated running, she hated running without being able to fight.

Trevor wasn't entirely convinced, but decided against pressing the issue. Trevor shrugged as Scarlet apologized to him. "Not your fault." Of course it wasn't her fault, and of course she more than likely knew it. It just seemed like the right thing to say.
The young man became interested, though, when Scarlet mentioned the mafia. He gazed over at her in curiosity. "Which mafia? 1920s type mafia or the...other mafia?" He'd only been in town a short time, but he'd already heard of the werewolf mafia. Then again, that wasn't something exclusive only to Ravmorte anyway. It seemed to be more rampant in Ravmorte than anywhere else, but Trevor had heard rumors about werewolves and their mafia even while he was still at home with his parents.

She was a little confused on what that was supposed to mean, but she just shrugged and looked at the ground. She knew she was causing it, but she just couldn't risk shifting.
"Yeah the werewolf 'mafia'." she sighed agian and began fiddling with her bracelets to keep herself bussy. She didn't like being completly still, it made her feel akward. She looked up from the stone floor and through the craked door. She could just barely see the front of her cherry red and black motorcycle. She wanted to get out of the church and go somewhere more livley than the abandoned building. But she liked the feeling the builing gave her, so she resisted the urge to get out of there.

"Well that's no fun." Trevor frowned, wondering what could have possibly happened in Scarlet's life that resulted in the werewolf mafia being after her. Trevor could not help but blanch at the thought that his shifting form was related to theirs, albeit distantly. "You a shifter?" He wondered, realizing that the question was a bit personal. However, she'd shared that the mafia was after her, so why not share that bit of info? Especially when she already knew that he was one.
"Well, I doubt anyone's going to come after you in here." He stated, doubting that it would cheer her up but trying nonetheless. It was an old abandoned building that he doubted many would even venture toward. Trevor was only there because he'd been exploring.

She laughed. "You wouldn't think they would come after you in Alaska either?" she laughed again. She knew she was giving a lot of personal stuff away but why not? He's not a werewolf. "Yes. I'm a shifter." she said finally calming her laughter. She relaxed a little more. She hadn't laughed in a long time, it felt nice. She crossed one of her ankles over the other and looked over her beat up combat boots. They had three slashes deep in the leather from her last incounter with those stupid wolvles. She frowned. Great, now how am I ever going to fix that? she thought.

Trevor's eyes widened. "They came after you there? How...then again..." Trevor trailed off. Alaska actually didn't seem like the best place to hide from a wolf, seeing as wolves were found naturally in Alaska. A werewolf would be quite at home there. "I'd suggest going somewhere tropical, actually. I don't think they'd like it there." Trevor was glad to hear Scarlet's laughter. He didn't like when people around him were upset. Trevor noticed Scarlet's gaze drift to her combat boots, as his eyes followed. He would have offered her the money to get them fixed, or even to buy a new pair, but he was hardly equipped for that at the moment. He didn't even have a job in Ravmorte yet.

She smiled at her boots, liking the way the slashes made them look. "I hate warm weather. I'm a snow leopard, or I shift into one. The cold is just more natural for me." she said. She loved the tingling feeling she got in the cold, and how it tries to rip through her fur to her core. She stood up and stretched her legs a little. She walked out to her motorcycle and grabbed the roll of duct tape she kept in her bag. She ripped a couple little squares and taped them over the slashes. "Good as new." she said more to herself.
