alex shifts into a grey wolf - this makes him part of the werewolf group and is therefore loyal to the said pack. his parents are both wolf shifters, something that alex is proud to say.

alex has a rather independent soul - he sticks true to the phrase 'lone wolf' as he easily tires of company as others place their troubles on him. however, he is a relatively good leader, although can be stubborn. he adores to get his own way, so it can often irritate him when he is beaten in just about anything - that being either the ranks of power or a simple statement of who is right and who is wrong in the truth. but, alex can also be a gentleman. once you get to know him, he is sweet and kind, which seems opposite to his cold, unimpressed outer shell. once he gives you his trust, it is easy to see he is very protective over those he cares for, and is courageous. he does however, enjoy trouble, mostly causing it and can sometimes be seen as quite argumentative. there are two sides to this boy, a kind, careful and protective side that makes him seem a perfect gentleman, and a dark, anti-social, sly side that can show him as more the character of 'the big bad wolf'.

human form -
alex is tall (his height extends up to six foot) and muscular. he has light brown hair that often looks ruffled and striking blue eyes, that stay with him when he is in wolf form. slightly tanned skin also covers his body. alex is a rather handsome young man, with his cute boy-ish looks (despite him being older than simply a boy) and a cheeky smile. is most striking feature is easily his eyes, which he can be easily identified by.
wolf form -
his wolf form is tall and muscular, just like his human form, and also retains the same striking blue eyes through the transformation. he is easily identified as a grey wolf, with a mixture of white, cream and silver-grey mixed into his thick coat. he holds the usual defenses found on a wolf's body, sharp, clean teeth and dark claws found on his large paws. he is again, a rather handsome creature in this form, but far more able to issue damage with razor sharp fangs.

Sitting still on the stand probably wasn't the best way to try and stay warm. If she had wanted to warm up the best option would have been to sprint down the beach and get her blood pumping. Sitting still and just letting herself shiver was probably the worst way to go about it. The girl ran her hands quickly up and down her arms, trying to create the warmth of friction and also get the blood pumping in her arms. It didn't appear to have too much of an effect on her body though, as it continued to shake against her will. The day she wasn't prepared for cold weather it just had to be freezing, didn't it? California was nearly always boiling - although Kat guessed that being outside this early probably had something to do with the reason that it was so cold. If she had come out later, at a more sane time maybe then she wouldn't have felt like she was trapped in some kind of fridge... which contained an odd amount of sand. She was stupid not to have brought a thicker layer, but Kat would rather use the word 'forgetful'. As in she had forgotten that it was so early in the morning and not realized that it would be so cold.
The girl made a futile attempt to brush the hair from her eyes, but a second after it had been wiped away it whizzed right back into place. Kat didn't attempt to brush it out the way again, battling with the weather was never a good idea, especially the wind. Kat remembered a time when she was little, her age only about six or seven then she had wanted to go outside - but rain had been pouring down meaning the moment her feet took a single step outside she would have been drowned. She had told her brother she would make it be sunny, which was a rather ridiculous thing to say, she hadn't possessed the powers to manipulate the weather after all. But she, being a young ignorant child who knew practically nothing of the world, got a large torch and pointed it at the sky, making it represent a large ball of light in the sky, as the sun was. Of course, this was just ridiculous. Because of some light in the sky the clouds didn't suddenly disappear and the ground dry up. Although she had learned, through that pointless exercise, that she couldn't make the weather do what she wanted, she couldn't ever really fight it. What an odd story.
Talking of her brother, if she got pneumonia or something because she was so cold, he would most likely murder her, and then bring her back again so that he would have something to be protective over. Kat didn't understand why he had to stick his nose into everything she was doing - was that typical for older brothers? Really, he took protective to a new level. She still loved him, of course she did, he was her brother. They were related by blood and were forced to forever be linked that way. It was just, he had to know everything she was doing and made sure that he was alright with it. Maybe to some it was funny, to watch the older brother and younger sister relationship play out but to Kat it was of course, annoying. She didn't quite know how much she valued her brother though, how much she valued her whole family. She had never lost anyone extremely close to her - her gran had died and her pet rabbit when she was little... but those were about the only deaths that had affected her in her life. She didn't realize what it was like to have someone there every day, whether annoying you or loving you and then for them to suddenly disappear.
The beach made Kat feel as if she were alone in the world - as if some odd plague had come and killed all the other human beings in the world, like in those scary movies Kat tended to avoid. Still, the rest of humanity just seemed to be away for the day, leaving the girl all on her own. Thinking of it as in a scary movie scenario just made things eerie, and Kat had never been a fan of movies that only wished to scare the life out of her. Maybe her lack of enthusiasm for scary tales matched with her shy personality, but when Kat sat down to watch a film she really didn't want to see creepy creatures chopping random peoples heads of and a load of fake blood everywhere. If she wasn't to watch a film that would make her feel sadder than she currently was, she'd switch on the news - the real world had enough war and murder along with monsters of a more human sort right there. The girl shivered once more, right down her spine and tried to shove her freezing hands into her sleeves, hoping that somehow that would make them a little warmer.
Kat was wrapped up in her own thoughts as the touch of something and a voice startled her. How long had he been standing there? She prayed it hadn't been very long and that she had just been sitting there staring off into space, her finger still doodling randomly while the boy stood. As Kat looked at the man, absorbed his face into her mind she realized exactly who he was. It was Zane. It was extremely hard to mistake the boy for somebody else, so there was no way Kat had gotten it wrong. He was a musician, someone whose music she had actually listen too before and enjoyed. She hadn't heard a lot about his music recently, it had appeared he had taken a break for a while, but that didn't mean that Kat no longer liked his previous records. The girl would say it was a rare occurrence to meet another celebrity - but this was Los Angeles, it was different to a simple village house. This was a place were music industries were set up, where Hollywood was easily found and models came for the newest fashions. This city wasn't just any place, it was a place of stars.
After all, if someone said Hollywood another being would immediately think of celebrities and the rich. That was just how it worked. It was nice for Zane to place his own jacket on her shoulders though, as another layer covered her up she felt just a little warmer and her shivering calmed. The girl smiled at the boy, happy that he was kind enough to help her, although she hoped that he didn't freeze just because she had been foolish enough to not dress correctly. Her shoulders lightly shrugged at his comment. He was right, she would freeze to death if she wasn't careful - and that really was not a clever thing to do. "Thank you." She wasn't sure what else to say, Kat was never the best with words - they always found a way to fail on her. She probably wasn't the best to have a conversation with, always drifting away from the point and saying little in return. But Kat didn't say pointless words, she was to the point and thought about things. She didn't need to say a lot most of the time, which was lucky for her as it matched what she preferred and did not prefer to do. Kat pushed some hair out her eyes for yet another time, making an attempt to try and see the man better.
She laughed gently as he sat down. "I suppose I can manage to put up with you." She teased back. Kat normally wasn't one for teasing, she just sat in the shadows and watched what was going on. Life was so much easier observed from that way. Though, despite her bad sleep she had energy and she felt like talking to another human being after sitting alone in the cold for a little while. Her eyes drifted to the sand and then snapped back up to his face as he spoke. She didn't really have a story, did she? What was her reason for coming to the beach anyway? She just had. It was as simple as that. "I just had trouble sleeping, my mind was too awake..." The girl started, thinking as she went. "So I decided I needed to get out, away from the familiar four walls and my driving led me here. Being outside brings more freedom to things. Doesn't feel as if I'm trapped up somewhere with my thoughts." The girl spoke the truth, just letting the words flow from her lips. "What about you?" It was the first question that came to mind, and Kat was curious what his story was too. She shrugged and smiled as he joined in with her own random doodling. "I guess so, bored and cold. Though I suppose it serves me right for not dressing correctly... it's normally really warm around California anyway." Her thoughts wandered slightly, and Kat continued to doodle, her gaze flicking from the patterns in the sand to the man at her side.
