This is a historical/fantasy forum, set in 1550s Japan, during the late Sengoku Period.
We encourage people to create wholly original characters, or characters based on historical people. Part of the "fantasy" element is that the forum is meant to be a parallel universe/alternate history, or whatever you want call it.
The other part of the fantasy element is that yōkai, kami, and other creatures from Japanese mythology exist.
