WELL, BABY THEY'RE TUMBLING DOWN, THEY DIDN'T EVEN PUT UP A FIGHT,
-------------- THEY DIDN'T EVEN MAKE A SOUND
--- it probably wasn't everyday you saw a jaguar on a farm. partly because jaguars were supposedly creatures of the rainforest that resided in south america, but this jaguar was here now, perched in the branches of a normal oak tree through the line of a north american forest. why was this creature here? because she had been born in this city, that was why, for she was a shifter and not a jaguar. then, if she was honest, it amused her to sit in this tree and watch the wild glances of the animals below her. it made her day far more entertaining. so she would sit herself in this tree on ruggar farm and doze while spying on the world below her. being a shifter, the creature was really a ginger haired girl, but it was no secret to those who knew her that she preferred her animal form to that of her human one. the large spotted feline was so much funner to be than a simple human being. the predator was so much more imposing and drew more attention than a normal looking girl. but then, life as a human was so much easier than that of a big jungle cat. that was why the girl adored being a shifter, it gave her the best of both worlds.
--- a female named scout, that was her true form, a pretty but skinny, red haired girl. it was different to the golden and black creature that now stood up and stretched on the branch of the tree, scratching sharp claws along the bark attached to the wood. it took a split second for the creature to spin around and bound down the trunk of the tree, making it one of those 'blink and you'll miss it' moments. the shifter barely had four paws on the earth before the jaguar straightened up and morphed into a red haired girl who had a smile upon her pink lips. she swiftly bent down and pulled on a large black jacket as well as a pair of rugged jeans that had been dumped underneath the tree, something that could be guessed that she had placed there before climbing up to her usual branch. the girl stretched her hands out in front of her and yawned, running a hand through her hair afterward in an attempt to flatten it. then she walked through the thicket of trees, her hazel eyes flickered around, absorbing all that was around her as she moved into the open area of the farm.
--- the land seemed almost deserted apart from the usual farm land creatures, meaning there appeared to be no humans around, or shifters - but scout couldn't know for sure. this was one of the things that irritated her about her human form, her senses were so much weaker here, they didn't allow her to detect others nearly as easily as her animal form did. scout sighed in frustration at this and moved closer to a paddock full of horses, one of which had been watching her carefully when she had been in her jaguar form. the creature snorted and backed away as scout approached, and the girl rolled her eyes at the beast. "stupid creature." she muttered before leaning against the wooden fence and glancing around at the warm day around her. the land was so empty. scout was used to being alone, after all, the jaguar wasn't a pack animal, it was used to living on its own. but being part human as well, scout couldn't help but crave company every once in a while. she wanted to talk to others, form friendships and bonds. she didn't want to be forced to be alone for the majority of her life.
