The New Kid (Open!)

He roamed through the large rows of books, their covers all in English, the aisle titles in English, the posters on the walls in English... Hikaru was fluent at the language, but he had only been in America for three days, and already all the English was becoming very overwhelming.

He left his apartment to search around Ravmorte City, the place he would call his new home. It wasn't too big. Well, no town is very big when you come from Tokyo. But he enjoyed the much brighter, intimate feeling here.

He scanned the shelves for any American authors he had heard of. After finding one he finally recognized, he grabbed the book, and began to flip through its many pages, leaning on the nearby off-white colored wall. His dark eyes quickly whipped around the page.

Izuru sniffled slightly when he entered the library that day. He had just got back from getting a drink at the local juice bar. In his hand he still had a empty plastic bottle with the place’s name written on it in fancy writing. The blonds eyes wondered to a picture on the wall. That told him that food and drinks were allowed in the library passed the door. Izu made a face at it and began to suck down the rest of the pink liquid inside the up. When he was finished he through the cup into the near by trash. That seriously needed to emptied by who ever was in charge of taking care of that. Zu walked passed the trash can into the library hoping the cup would stay in the trash. If it felt out he might get in trouble and he did not want anything to do with that.

Because that usually involved lots of yelling and pointing. Izuru had yelling because it scared him and made him really nervous. Iz bit his lips slightly as he walked into one the rows of shelves. Where another Japanese boy was flipping through the pages of a book. Zu looked at him for a quick second and then looked back at the shelf. He had a small pink on his lips as he looked through the shelves. The blond scanned the shelves for a book that might interest him. The little blond preferred quiet stories that had some action. But nothing with too much blood and rapid swearing or dirty scenes. The only dirty books he read was yaoi. The blond tilted his head slightly at one the books and took it off the shelf. It had a strange English word on it that he never heard of. Izu was never good at pronouncing large words so he was often yelled at in school for it.

The blond tried to sound it out but he became discouraged so he put it back on the shelf. And began looking for a book with a name that he could pronounce.

The book was fairly interesting, and Hikaru decided that he might as well get a library card and check it out. He reads quite a bit, so it would be pretty useful.

He flipped the book shut with his right hand, and started down the aisle. His eyes wandered around the area, peering at the various shadows of people quietly walking through the library.

SLAM! Hikaru hit some sort of large mass, and it felt strangely like a human. The boy stumbled back, eyes winced together in surprise. When he opened them again, he saw another man, his long blond hair down to his shoulders with a book in hand.

"Gomen! Eh, I mean, sorry! I wasn't paying attention." he said slightly embarrassed. He had let some Japanese slip out, but he thought that it might not even matter, as the other man appeared to be Japanese as well.

Izuru made small noise and his book fell from he small hands. It then hit the floor with large smack which cause some people to go shh. Izu bit his lip slightly and looked to the people telling him to be quiet. The little blond knew the sound wasn’t his fault but he still kept his mouth shut. Even though he was un right told to be quiet because of his book falling to the ground. The blond didnt want to cause a scene , so thus the reason why he deiced to let them do what them wished. Before responding to what had rammed into to him he bent over and picked up the hard covered book off the floor. Noticing some dust on the binding he blew on it lightly and stood up straight again.

His eyes looked to the person who had bumped into him. The man had almost said gomen nasai to him but he stopped himself to say it in English. Izuru wondered why that was .But deiced that it wasn’t his business to ask why. Izu just stared at the other boy for a couple more seconds. As a couple people left the library with some books that they had checked out. Iz sniffled lightly and figured he should probably talk now. So he would not look stupid just standing their staring at the poor boy. " "Its um ,don’t worry about it. I uh was probably standing in the middle of the isle or something.” he told the boy shyly with a small pink across his cheeks.

He the blinked a couple times looked his feet briefly. Before putting the book under his arm so he wouldn’t drop it again. But Zu was kind od a klutz so, he wouldn’t be surprised if he did drop it to the floor again. The blonds orbs looked to the other Japanese male once more.

Hikaru smiled awkwardly. "Yeah, I guess I just over reacted a little bit. I thought I knocked you over for a second there!" He laughed a little, reaching with his right hand to itch the back of his neck. "I've always been kinda clumsy... not really something I can fix all that well, but I've tr-" Hikaru cut himself off thinking for a moment. This guy doesn't care, I need to just shut the hell up and walk away!

"Umm... so yeah... k. Bye." Hikaru began to walk in a calculated rhythm, attempting to appear that he wasn't embarrassed. He had just bumped into a complete stranger, then tried having a conversation with him about something he obviously wouldn't care about! Ugh... I'm an idiot.
