Trevor knew he had to get a job quick if he wanted to survive in Ravmorte. It was a nice town, where he felt he could truly belong. It seemed to be comprised of mostly shifters, and he didn't feel as though he was a disappoint to anyone anymore.
Except himself, if he couldn't succeed at this.
The teen sighed in frustration as he waited at the bus stop. When the bus finally pulled up, the 17 year old entered, carrying only the backpack on his back (the entirety of belongings that he'd taken with him). He sat on an empty seat, placing his backpack beside him as he retrieve a piece of paper and a pen from his bag. He was going to start working on a resume. Now, Trevor knew that he would not get a high paying job, not at age 17. However, he figured he'd have a better chance of getting hired if actually did something to make himself look better.
Unfortunately, Trevor was having a hard time focusing on the task at hand. He never had been good at menial tasks such as this. He wanted (almost needed action). He chewed on his pen anxiously as he tried to think of something to write down.

Cindy finally arrived at Ravmorte City about a week ago, and knew that this is a good place to be if you were a shifter. She couldn't believe her luck with what her parents did or did they not really know. Hers were a bit of a mystery compare to others, since to Cindy it didn't seem like her parents knew hundred percent that she was. However, she went in secret to Ravmorte and the thing she needed most here was a job. She had also ran off to find her brother. All she knew was that one day her brother wasn't around and she needed to find him. Thus why she hadn't gotten here until a week ago.
She prayed he is good and not at all in harm. She couldn't fail in her search or she'll be doom.
The twenty-one year old sighed in misery and frustration. She had search nearly everywhere in this fair town and no sight of Trevor anywhere. It was why she was on the bus now. She had on a knitted blouse and a laced skirt, and with her were her only belongings she brought in a red duffel bag 20 inches long, a standard backpack, a bright yellow tote bag, and her laptop case bag carrying her laptop. All she had and still no job or place to life yet. No way to support a teenage brother, let only herself at the moment, but she wouldn't give up. She can't!
Soon a sound of a pen being chewed came to her ears, Cindy winced as it reminded her of her brother when he was nervous or anxious. She covered her face with her hands and cried a bit in silence. She didn't notice she tilted onto somebody until she heard somebody said, "Watch it, lady!" and she looked up from her hands and said sorry to him. She looked around the bus and wiped the tears from her eyes. She could do this, she whispered to herself. Now, if she was a seventeen year old boy, where would she be?

This was much harder than Trevor had bargained for. He didn't even have a high school diploma, which cut down majorly on job opportunities. He wondered if Ravmorte had a high school that he could attend.
His gaze shot up when he heard another passenger yelling at what sounded to be a woman who wasn't watching where she was going. Trevor rolled his eyes, not at the woman but at the passenger yelling. Some people made such huge deals out of nothing. It was highly doubtful that the woman had run into him on purpose, so why was he even fretting about it?
Trevor was about to go back to his work when he caught a glimpse of the woman's face. His pen fell from his mouth to his lap. Was it her? It had to be. What if it wasn't her, though? Trevor decided he would find out. He took the lid off of his pen and tossed it in the blonde's direction. He would have his answer soon enough. Either way, the results would be amusing.

It was hard at being there and not knowing where her younger brother was. It was hard to believe how it was such a much harder time than she could realize being on her own without anything. She had gone out of her college before getting her degree in education. She did have her child care license and massage license, but it wouldn't do good for her if she wanted to aim for a higher education and better paid job though massage therapy was still quite good in that. She should of finished her year of education too. She sighed, eyes blurry with her tears.
Cindy was looking the other direction when she tilted her head catlike and all as the sound of an object flying her way. It was about to hit her when she quickly looked at it and caught it at the same time. Catlike reflexes came in handle, she grinned and looked at the pen lid. She sniffed deep and noticed a scent on it. She thumbed it in fascination and lifted it to her eyes, and was shock at what she sense off it. She stood up and looked in the direction where it came from.
"Trevor?" She stared at him. Was it him? It had to be and she walked to him. "Sorry, coming through," she told the other passengers on her way. She looked at him and soon laughed and cried. "Trevor!" She went to embrace him and cried. "I've been looking everywhere for you. My little bro!" She kissed his cheek and sniffed at him, rubbing his face like a cat marking property. She couldn't help it as she wanted the world to know he was her brother and under her protection. She pulled back and wiped away tears.

Trevor smirked when the woman in question caught it. Yep, that seemed just like Cindy. She'd always had quick reflexes...almost cat-like in nature. Suddenly, Trevor's smirk faded a little as he thought. Cat-like reflexes? His sister in Ravmorte? Was there a chance...nah, couldn't be. Why would his sister be a shifter, and moreover, why wouldn't he know? Then again, she didn't know of his own shifting ability. His parents had regretted turning their youngest child into a shifter, and had thus tried to suppress that side of his being. It worked to some extent, although that side of him eventually had to get stir crazy...which was what led to this.
The teen could not help but tilt his head (much like a confused dog would) as he watched his sister put the pen cap up to her nose and sniff it. That seemed animal-like as well...
Then she glanced over at him, and suddenly none of that mattered, at least for the time being. Trevor met his older sister in an embrace, glad to have found what was probably the most important person in his life at this stage. Who cared if he didn't have a job or a home? He had family again! He resisted to the best of his ability the urge to cry, as he was a seventeen year old boy and it would be humiliating. A few tears still escaped though, much to his chagrin. "Cindy! I missed you so much!"
Then, suddenly, his relief was replaced by curiosity. What on Earth was Cindy doing in Ravmorte anyway? The rubbing against his cheeks he did not particular mind, as he figured it was just a gesture like a kiss on the cheeks (he could be a bit naive at times). No, he was suspicious for other reasons...perfectly valid ones as well, of course. "What are you doing here?"

Injected with cougar DNA does that to a woman, catlike reflexes and all, and she heard of Ravmorte being a good place for shifters like her (and Trevor though she didn't know it yet). It wasn't a big chance for her to go to this fair town yet still why was her brother doing here too. She was glad he did, and yet she was curious. Of course, there was that saying again going into her mind replaying itself over and over again. Curiosity killed the cat. And the curious in her eyes vanished for now until they were somewhere safe. She didn't know who had decide her fate as a shifter because it hadn't been known to her parents or so it seem. For all she knew her being injected could have been a mistake or made by other relative they didn't know about.
The twenty-one year old didn't really notice the confuse dog look on her brother's face. It wasn't important now. The important part was that she success in finding him and he was safe. She didn't care at the moment for a job or a house, the utmost importance of the person in her arms was the one she cared about now. It was probably a good thing she ask a certain friend of hers if she could stay with her for a bit. At least, they would have some place to say until finding a place of their own.
"I missed you more, Trevor," she said and used her thumbs to wipe away his tears calmly and gently, much to her little brother's chagrin; she knew it was probably embarrassing to have big sister wipe your tears when you were seventeen. Embarrassments were a part of life and she didn't care if her brother was a bit displease by her actions. What was important was having her brother back in her arms. She wondered what Trevor was doing here. Why was he here? Her parents always was a bit regretful when she ask why he left. What were they regretting about - she paused in her thoughts. No, it couldn't be. A shifter - Trevor?
Her curiosity was back and was in flare. She frowned when her relief transform into curiosity and worried. Her parents couldn't have make Trevor a shifter, could they? She looked down at him, still in her arms, and stroked his hair a bit. She also got that spot that bug him ever so often and used the tips of her fingers to caressed it. Always behind the ear. At his question about being here she stated softly. "I thought it was the logic place to be that was safe if I found you." She answered, which in a way also hinted at her other side she hid. "Why did you?" she ventured tenderly.

Trevor tried in vain to pull away from Cindy when she was rubbing his eyes. He was chuckling in the meantime, however, so it was clear that he was only halfheartedly doing this. He did appreciate what Cindy was doing, but he was a seventeen year old boy. It was a bit humiliating. Then again, at least he didn't know anyone in this new town.
"No, I missed you more." Trevor teased back, glad that he had an older sister to argue with once more. Cindy was an adult and Trevor was on the verge of becoming one himself, but that didn't mean that they had to stop teasing each other.
Then, of course, Cindy had to find that spot behind his ear. This was taken from the bits of dog DNA that he had, of course.
The logical place to be safe. Trevor frowned. If he'd been in his shifter form, his ears would have perked up at this. He looked into his sister's eyes, as if willing her to tell him what she was hiding. And he knew by the expression on her face, the look in her eyes...she was his sister, after all. He knew she was hiding something. Just as he was. Well, not anymore. "They weren't happy with how I turned out. Kinda sad, really, since they're the ones who got me injected in the first place." Trevor shook his head. His parents loved him, and he knew it, but they didn't love that side of him - a problem since it was undeniably a part of him now.

Cindy grinned at the attempts to escape from her by her brother, but she couldn't allow Trevor to get away not yet, especially with everything she been through when she didn't know where he'll turn up or if he was alright. Right now, she wanted - needed - to feel him and make sure he was fine. Safe and sound right in front of her, she smirked.
"No, I missed you more," Cindy argued back and concurred with him. Glad to have Trevor again, and glad to argue with him and to see him become an adult was a miracle. She was glad and she loved to tease her brother.
Cindy smirked at Trevor's reaction to her finding that spot behind his ear.
Sighing and chuckling to herself, Cindy looked down at her baby brother and waited. And she wasn't disappointed. She was shock with this new information from Trevor and she couldn't believe their parents. She repeated what he said in her mind: They weren't happy with how I turned out. Kinda sad, really, since they're the ones who got me injected in the first place and frowned. She kissed Trevor's forehead. "Oh, Trevor...I didn't know... I..." she paused. He knew she was hiding something; it was why he said it that way. "I don't know who did me. I don't think they know about me," she confirmed Trevor's beliefs in those words and 'they' meaning their mom and dad.

"I missed you times infinity." Trevor smirked, sticking out his tongue. "I win." He knew he was behaving a bit immaturely, but honestly, he had his sister back! How could he not be excited? He honestly didn't care if he was acting ten rather than seventeen.
Trevor might have pulled away from Cindy's kiss had he not know the emotion behind it. However, he'd seen the look in her eyes just before she did it. It made him feel better as well, to know that Cindy didn't care that he was a shifter. Trevor was nevertheless surprised when his older sister admitted that she'd been injected as well...but not by their parents.
"What do you shift into?" He asked before he could stop himself. Then he studied his sister, and a wan smile came across his face. "I bet some sort of feline, correct?" Cindy's cat-like reflexes, her preference for cats over dogs...realizing that Cindy probably wondered what his shifting form was, Trevor decided it would be best to be level with her on that too. Now that everything was out in the open. His sister, a shifter! Suddenly Trevor did not feel so alone anymore.
"Remember that stray dalmatian that used to roam around our neighborhood when we were kids? Came up to you after you fell off of your bike when you were ten?" He trailed off, with a small knowing grin on his face. He wondered if Cindy would be able to guess where he was going with this hint.

"You little cheater," Cindy teased and laughed at his childish behavior. "Fine, you won..." she paused for dramatic affected. "This time, but next time to moi," she pointed to herself. She laughed afterward, glad to have her brother back. She didn't care if they have an audience to their very interesting conversation and interaction.
It was clear to her that Trevor probably wanted to pull away from her kiss, but realizing her emotions behind it he stayed put which Cindy was glad of. She needed his support in this. She didn't care if Trevor was a shifter, a normal human, or an alien being from space. She would still love him and support him, and she knew it was the same for Trevor with her. She smiled at the look of surprise on her brother's face. He didn't realize how nice it was for her to still surprise him so.
Cindy smiled and was about to tell him when he added I bet some sort of feline, correct? She snorted and nodded her head in answer to his question. "You're good," she replied and winked at him. "Yes, feline. Cougar to be exact," she answered with a grin and raked her fingers through Trevor's hair. "I'm guessing some type of dog for you," she added and went back to scratching the spot again, which she knew he like. She snorted and paused for a moment.
"The dalmatian who lick my scrape to make me feel better?" She asked, arching an eyebrow at him before going and cuddled him again. "That was you," she questioningly declared and laughed. "I can't believe I didn't know. He behaved like you do sometimes. Thanks for kissing me better," she snorted and hugged him close. "You little sneak!" she said with admiration and tenderness.

Trevor snorted. "Hey, I still won, didn't I? That's all that matters." He grinned, probably the most he'd grinned since leaving home. Fortunately, despite the fact that they were arguing, it was all in good fun. Trevor would not do anything to severely upset his older sister, not now that she'd come all this way looking for him. At least someone cared to do so. To be fair, Trevor didn't know what his parents were doing. Dare he even ask? "Cindy...are they even looking for me?" Trevor asked of his older sister in a small voice, smaller than he meant for it to be. Despite the fact that he'd run away from the in the first place, part of him wanted to hear that they at least cared about him enough to wonder where he was.
"Cougar, eh? I can see why you didn't shift much...not like a cougar running around a neighborhood is completely normal." He chuckled, then looked out the window, where he saw a girl chasing after birds. "Then again, here it's perhaps not so unusual..." The seventeen year old turned his attention back to his sister, with a mischievous grin on his face. "Yep, that was me. And hey, you're not completely innocent. I didn't know what you could turn into until now, remember?" He arched an eyebrow with a smirk on his face.

Cindy smiled and a giggle escaped. "Why not. You win!" She chuckled and loved seeing Trevor grinning again. It was nice to have him back and good to know he was safe. "You haven't getting into trouble, have you?" She asked with concern in her eyes. She didn't want to seem nosy, but he was her little brother, so she had the right to be worry. At his question, she knew who he was talking about, their parents. She frowned slightly and looked upon him. "They aren't doing a lot about it, but they did phone a few friends. They don't want to believe you're gone, and they drew more withdrawal... It's hard to explain, Trevor, but I know they miss you," she admitted with a fixation of looking elsewhere, but she meant what she said before looking down upon him. It was hard to tell him that their parents aren't doing enough to look for him which is why she was here in the first place as well as losing interest in their daughter's life to worry about her, Cindy sighed.
She shook her head at that and chuckled. "No, not too many times as a cougar, nope!" She agreed. "I usually go out to the nearby forest. Not much, but enough to stretch my legs and tail." She joked and sighed with a bit of wistfulness in it. She had wanted to explore the neighborhood they lived in, but if she did she had to be cautious or people would go screaming about a wild cat on the lose. "Yes, here it's totally normal to be abnormal," she concurred and snorted with silliness. "So true, I know. Guess we have a lot to discuss, huh?" She said with a calmness in her voice. The was loneliness in her eyes though.
